Equipment Installation Technician

Job description


We are looking for an Emergency Vehicle Installer for full time work. Primary responsibilities would be installing, testing, repairing and removing 12 volt law enforcement vehicle equipment. Equipment could include, but not limited to, light bars, flashers, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, K-9 cages and more. Work could include new vehicles, upgrading existing vehicles and servicing prior installs.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Install emergency equipment into law enforcement vehicles

Remove and re-install OEM vehicle interior trim Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment Develop wiring routes throughout the vehicle for the most efficient wiring path and enable future replacement and/or troubleshooting Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment as necessary Dis-assemble and reassembly of a diverse range of vehicle makes and models, including sedans,

SUVs, motorcycles, ATVs.

• Maintain safe, clean and orderly tools and work area

• Continuous learning in new products, skills techniques from colleagues and manufacturers

• Assist with parts, shipping, receiving and inventory as needed

Complete all required paperwork and documentation

• Other duties as needed or required

 

Position is on the South Shore.

Pay is based on Experience.

Stockroom Clerk

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in all daily warehouse activities and ensure compliance according to all approved company processes.
• Verify counts and receive all incoming stock by comparing packing slips/invoices with purchase orders or transfer orders.
• Transfer inventory to its location in the storage facility or to shelves using the approved company inventory management software.
• Ensure all palletized material has approved material identification labels affixed.
• Assist staff or other non-warehouse workers find specific items.
• Pick and document all equipment and inventory needed for each install daily.
• Perform full quarterly inventory audits and daily cycle counts.
• Keep the warehouse clean & organized.
• Support and abide by all safety regulations set by company.
• Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership.

Necessary Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 2-Years warehouse experience preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
• Forklift certified a plus.
• Strong organizational preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must possess good computer skills.
• Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs repetitively.

Warehouse Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Assist in all daily warehouse activities and ensure compliance according to all approved 
company processes
• Work closely with the Upfit Manager and Technicians to discuss upcoming installs, 
special material requirements, or special projects
• Work closely/daily with the Purchasing to ensure accountability and inventory/asset 
accuracy and accountability
• Verify counts and receive all incoming stock by comparing packing slips/invoices with 
purchase orders or transfer orders
• Transfer inventory to its location in the storage facility or to shelves using the approved 
company inventory management software
• Ensure all palletized material has approved material identification labels affixed
• Assist staff or other non-warehouse workers find specific items
• Pick and document all equipment and inventory needed for each install and service daily
• Check all work orders and remaining inventory daily and communicate all material needs 
to Purchasing as needed
• Report all incomplete work orders to Purchasing or Upfit Manager for corrections
• Perform full quarterly inventory audits and daily cycle counts
• Keep the warehouse clean & organized
• Support and abide by all safety regulations set by company
• Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership

• Must have a valid driver's license
• 2-Years warehouse experience preferred

• Strong communication skills
• Must possess good computer skills 
• Previous ERP/Inventory Management skills preferred (will need to demonstrate)
• Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs repetitively
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
